Internationally, one of the groups who have been found to benefit most from the Social Farming experience are young people, particularly those who are disadvantaged in some way, who may be experiencing behavioural or social difficulties or who are at risk of becoming early school-leavers. We have just recently completed a case study on Social Farming placements undertaken by a group of Leaving Cert Applied students from Carndonagh Community School in Malin Head, Co. Donegal in late 2018/early 2019.
