The sun shone bright for the second day of National Social Farming Awareness Week 2023 when Richard and Áine Galway held a very successful Social Farming Open Day on their beautiful farm outside Thomastown.

It was a great gathering of participants, services, neighbours and friends and farmer!

National Social Farming Awareness Week 2023 ended with what turned out to be the biggest event of the week, an Open Day at Quarryfield Farm near Bunninadden attended by almost 100 people.

Social farmers Violet and Stephen Kavanagh opened their sheep farm near Tinahely as part of National Social Farming Awareness Week 2023.

Social Farming Ireland held a series of Open Days to showcase what Social Farming is all about right there where it happens week in & week out on over 140 social farms throughout the country!

The weather may have been variable but the welcome & atmosphere was warm & bright at each of the five social farms that opened their gates!

Social Farming Ireland is excited to announce our second Social Farming Awareness Week from the 2nd to 6th October, to promote social farming as a viable option for both those in need of this support and for farmers.
